As an entrepreneur, small business owner and public servant, Jasper Schneider is committed to growing future opportunity in North Dakota. For those reasons, the President appointed Jasper to serve as North Dakota’s State Director for USDA Rural Development in 2009.

 

In this role, Jasper has driven the agency to a new level. He’s aggressively worked to build upon North Dakota’s successes through Rural Development’s many programs and resources. The effort is helping to create new opportunities, develop job-creating businesses and build vital infrastructure. Prior to joining USDA, Jasper represented North Dakota’s Legislative District 21 in the state House of Representatives. He also had a successful law practice and worked as legal counsel to U.S. Senator Kent Conrad.

 

Before practicing law, Jasper worked for Cisco Systems and developed Sudhian Media, a widely recognized website which reviewed and provided online support on the latest, cutting-edge technology. Jasper is a graduate of Jamestown College and Hamline University School of Law. He and his wife Kim have four children and make their home in Bismarck.
